Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, who tied the knot last month in a low-key but dreamy ceremony, have completed one month of marital bliss and the actress decided to pen down a sweet IG post on this special occasion. While Sinha is quite active on social media, she decided to also share photos from their romantic honeymoon in Philippines along with a note expressing gratitude towards everyone who made their trip special.

Sonakshi Sinha reveals she was on this trip to ‘recover’

Readers would be aware that Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal had taken off to Singapore, almost immediately after they tied the knot. The actress had revealed that they made a quick trip to the country to visit one of her friends but returned soon to wrap up her film commitments. However, it seems that the actress and her actor-husband decided to spend some leisure time in Philippines wherein the couple were seen indulging in wellness therapy.

As the actress shared photos of them enjoying healthy food, pool time, and exploring nature, she captioned the same saying, “We celebrated one month of our wedding by doing what we needed to do the most - RECOVER!!!” She also went on to add about how they learnt about taking care of their body and mind during this trip and added, “Waking up in the midst of nature, eating right, sleeping on time, detox treatments and massages galore - feeling brand new.” Describing this as a life changing experience, Sonakshi also thanked everyone who made their stay comfortable in this post.

For the unversed, after seven years of dating each other, the two tied the knot in Mumbai on June 23. The couple hosted an intimate registered marriage ceremony in Mumbai along with a few rituals, followed by a lavish reception which was hosted in the plush five-star restaurant Bastian. The latter was attended by several prestigious members of the film fraternity.
